I self-identify as Disabled, Indigenous, and 2SLFBTQIA+.
Suzanne believes that it is important to work from a perspective that is guided by lived experience, personal healing, and a firm belief in the resilience of the human spirit. She is committed to working with people as they negotiate the highs and lows of developmental stages and life transitions on their journey to build healthier lives and stronger relationships.
Known for her non-judgemental, person-centred, grassroots approach to healing, Suzanne focuses her approach to meet the unique needs of each person. She believes that each person is the expert in their own lives and that, with mutual respect and trust, a space can be created where healing will occur.
In her practice, Suzanne focuses on supporting families and individuals as they navigate daily life, manage the effects of trauma, and/or discover who they are and where they fit in this world. Suzanne’s counselling expertise lies in working with women, 2SLGBTQQIA+ people, those who have experienced intergenerational trauma, people living with disabilities and those living with mental health issues or addictions. She is particularly adept at using an Indigenous approach to healing as well as IFS, Narrative and CBT skills. She works towards supporting people as they discover the skills that keep them healthy and happy.
